The Grievance Panel mediates faculty grievances informally with the help of the ombudsperson of the panel, or through the mechanism of formal hearings by a grievance board consisting of five members of the Grievance Panel. It is also responsible for maintaining and updating its operational procedures in consultation with the faculty.
